Wildlife thrives in the natural areas of our park. Visit the Arboretum, where you can spot squirrels amongst the tree branches, or see what you can spot in our fishing lagoon. New to Wicksteed is our Australian themed Aviary, which is full of exotic, free flying birds including finches, budgies and Kakarikis!

Natural Play Trail
Explore our fantastic Natural Play Trail, where children can climb obstacles, build sandcastles, make a splash in the lakeside area or run through the willow tunnels. Kids will love discovering the the plants and wildlife along the way!See Our Map
An exciting new addition to the park is Wickys Play Factory, which gives kids the chance to jump into ball ponds, whizz down slides and crawl through tunnels, all in a safe and secure environment. Open from 9.30am – 5.30pm on weekdays, and 10.30am-5.30pm on weekends and school holidays.Find Out More
Bring a picnic, a ball or a kite, and pitch up somewhere amongst our 147 acres of parkland for some homemade fun. Whether it’s a game of football, a tree climbing contest or just some good old fashioned exploring, kids will love being out in the open air!
